How the Duplicate Word Finder Works
The tool uses a straightforward word frequency algorithm to identify and count duplicate words in your text.
Word Frequency = Count of each unique word ÷ Total words × 100%Step 1: The input text is split into individual words using spaces and punctuation as delimiters. Non-alphabetic characters attached to words (like commas and periods) are stripped away.
Step 2: If case-insensitive mode is active, all words are converted to lowercase before counting. Words shorter than the minimum length threshold are excluded.
Step 3: A frequency map counts occurrences of each word. Words appearing more than once are flagged as duplicates and sorted by frequency in descending order.
Step 4: The percentage column shows each word's density relative to the total word count — useful for keyword density analysis in SEO contexts.
Practical Examples

Settings: Case-insensitive, minimum word length 3.

What Is a Duplicate Word Finder?
A Duplicate Word Finder is a text analysis tool that scans your writing and identifies words that appear more than once. It counts the frequency of each word and presents the results in a sorted list, letting you see at a glance which words you have used repeatedly.
Repetitive word usage is one of the most common writing issues. It makes text feel monotonous, reduces readability, and can signal keyword stuffing to search engines. Professional editors, content writers, students, and SEO specialists all rely on word frequency analysis to polish their work.
This tool goes beyond simple spellcheck. While spellcheckers catch misspellings, a duplicate word finder reveals patterns in your word choices — showing you exactly where your writing could benefit from synonyms, restructuring, or trimming.
