Formula & How It Works
Stripe charges a percentage fee plus a fixed fee per transaction. For Indian transactions, 18% GST is added on the processing fee.
For Domestic Indian Cards:
Processing Fee = (Transaction Amount × 2%) + ₹3
GST = Processing Fee × 18%
Total Deduction = Processing Fee + GST
Net Payout = Transaction Amount - Total Deduction
For International Cards:
Processing Fee = (Transaction Amount × 3%) + ₹3
GST = Processing Fee × 18%
Total Deduction = Processing Fee + GST
Net Payout = Transaction Amount - Total Deduction
For other currencies, the fixed fee converts to local currency equivalent (₹3 ≈ $0.036, €0.034, £0.029).

GST: 103 × 18% = ₹18.54

GST: 2.279 × 18% = £0.410
Total Deduction: £2.689
Net Payout: £72.311
What is a Stripe Fee Calculator?
A Stripe fee calculator helps online businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs understand exactly how much they'll pay in payment processing fees. When you receive money through Stripe, they deduct a percentage plus a fixed amount per transaction. In India, there's an additional 18% GST on those fees.
This tool eliminates guesswork. You'll know your exact net payout before setting prices or accepting payments. This is crucial for pricing products, calculating profits, and financial planning.
Whether you're selling digital products, offering services, running a subscription business, or accepting donations, understanding your actual take-home amount helps you make better business decisions.

How accurate is this Stripe fee calculator?
Our calculator uses Stripe's official published fee structure for India and international markets. Results match what Stripe will actually charge.
Does this include GST on Stripe fees?
Yes, we automatically calculate 18% GST on Stripe's processing fees for Indian transactions, which is how Stripe actually bills.
What's the difference between domestic and international card fees?
Domestic Indian cards have lower fees (2% + ₹3 + GST). International cards have higher fees (3% + ₹3 + GST) due to cross-border charges.
Can I calculate fees for USD or other currencies?
Yes, select your currency from the dropdown. Fees adjust automatically based on Stripe's rates for that currency.
Why is my net payout less than the transaction amount?
Stripe deducts their processing fee (percentage + fixed) plus GST on that fee. The remaining amount is what you actually receive.
Does Stripe charge monthly or annual fees?
No monthly fees for standard accounts. This calculator only covers per-transaction processing fees.
Are there any hidden fees not shown here?
This shows all standard processing fees. Additional charges like currency conversion (if applicable) or chargeback fees would be extra.
