How the Conversion Works
The URL to title conversion follows a clean 5-step process that strips away technical parts and returns only human-readable words.
Step 1: Strip protocol → remove https:// or http://
Step 2: Strip domain → remove domain.com and subdomains
Step 3: Strip query & hash → remove ?key=val and #anchor
Step 4: Extract slug → take the last meaningful path segment
Step 5: Replace separators → hyphens and underscores → spaces
Step 6: Apply case → Title / Sentence / UPPER / lowerTitle Case rule: All words are capitalized except minor words like "a, an, the, and, or, but, in, on, at, to, for, of, with, by" — unless they are the first word of the title, following standard editorial style.
Sentence case rule: Only the very first character of the entire title is uppercased; all other characters remain lowercase.

Every webpage on the internet has a URL — a technical address made up of hyphens, slashes, and lowercase text. While URLs are great for machines, they are not readable for humans. A URL to title generator bridges that gap by converting a raw URL slug like how-to-start-a-blog-in-india into a clean title like How to Start a Blog in India.
This tool is especially useful for bloggers who need quick post titles from existing slugs, for developers cleaning up CMS content, and for SEO professionals who need to check that their page titles align with their URL structure. Instead of manually reformatting each slug, this tool handles the conversion in under a second.
URL slugs were designed to be short and search-engine friendly, but page titles need to be engaging and grammatically correct. This generator handles the translation between both worlds, including smart Title Case logic that follows standard editorial conventions.
